Classic Mode: The Original Price Guessing Game

May 24, 2026ยท3 min read

You see a listing. The photos, the square footage, the bedroom count, the location. Everything a buyer would know before making an offer. There's just one catch: the price is hidden. Your job is to guess it.

Classic mode is the heart of RealEstateGuessr. You get ten rounds, each with a different property pulled from real listings across the United States. The closer your guess is to the actual sale price, the higher your score. A perfect game is 50,000 points, but good luck getting there.

What makes it addictive is the confidence gap. Most people think they have a decent read on home prices. Maybe you browse Zillow on weekends or you just bought a place yourself. Classic mode reveals exactly how calibrated your gut really is.

The scoring rewards precision. A guess within 5% of the actual price earns you big points. Swing wide and you're punished. Over ten rounds, the scores add up, and the leaderboard separates the casual browsers from the people who genuinely understand real estate pricing.

Every game pulls from a rotating pool of properties, so you'll see everything from starter condos to sprawling estates. A $180k ranch in Ohio followed by a $2.3M townhouse in San Francisco. The variety is the point. No single market expertise is enough.

When you're done, you get a full breakdown: your guess versus the actual price on every round, your total score, and where you rank globally. Share your results with friends and see who actually knows the market.
